Help CenterAs a merchant, your top priority is to create a customer experience so exceptional that it keeps them coming back for more. One way to achieve this is through providing various perks, such as discounts and package protection plans offered by ShipInsure.
However, overlapping these perks can diminish their value. For example, while you may offer discounts on products purchased by customers, those same discounts should not be applied to premium fees when purchasing ShipInsure Package Protection.
To prevent such overlap from happening, follow these simple steps to add ShipInsure Package Protection to a new collection:
- Log in to your Shopify Admin.
- Click Products on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select Collections.
- Choose Create collection at the top right corner of the screen.
- Enter a name and description for the collection.
- Toggle on Manual in the Collection type section.
- Click Save.
Once you’ve created a manual collection and clicked Save, a Products section will appear. You’ll need to add the ShipInsure Package Protection product to it:
- Scroll down to the Products section.
- Search for the product or click Browse.
- Add ShipInsure Package Protection to the products in this collection.
Finally, ensure discounts are not applied to products in this new manual collection you’ve created:
- Click Discounts on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select the name of the discount you want to edit.
- Adjust which collections this discount can be applied to.
- Click Save.
